I have a bit of a thing for cutlery at the moment. I am really enjoying David Mellor’s knives and forks. Tad pricey though.

How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?
Don’t ask, but this came on - thanks to shuffle - when I was on the tube this morning.
Lugg Meadows, Hereford
Oh the Lugg Meadows brings back so many memories. Looking forward to getting me some countryside time very soon.
Nice picture too.
…facebook will have forgotten about me.
I’ve been threatening to delete my facebook account for a long time and now I’ve done it. There’s a 14 day grace period before it’s permanent and if I log in in the that time it’ll be re-activated. However, once it’s gone, it’s really gone.
Why have I done it?
I think that it’s a glorious waste of time and a lazy way to socialise. I don’t really have 150 friends (or whatever the number is). I have less than 10 people who I speak to or text regularly. That is just fine. Hopefully the time I used to spend messing about with Facebook can be used to call my friends or spend time with people.

I love robots unconditionally (so long as they’re behaving themselves and obeying Asimov’s laws of robotics)…
..but this one is really impressive. It’s fantastic how careful it is when folding the towels and then how it smooths them out. Amazing.
Just need to get one and unleash it in my bedroom.
After looking at these nicely designed packages for grout, cement and adhesives I suddenly want to do some DIY.
Good examples of how mundane products need not have dull packaging. They can look super cool and not sacrifice usability.
Lovely lovely dereliction. I always loved poking around old industrial ruins. Not that I do it a great deal or indeed seek to do it, but when you stumble across it, it’s fun and sparks a lot of thoughts about what things used to be like.

Some great guidance for the modern woman of 1938 on how to behave when dating - supported with humorous pictures as above.
Some of it is a little dated but us men, even now in 2010, do desire your full attention.

Some nice pictures of London in the 1960s not helping the fact that I’m missing home.

I love that this one has a massive Woolmark in it. For some reason I’ve always liked that logo.
