I’m waiting to head to the airport and I thought I’d stick some images up from a book I like. Ordnance Survey Maps - a descriptive manual.
I really like maps. They’re great to look at and they’re full of information. Consequently they appeal to both my aesthetic and geeky sides. I love to study maps. Especially before I visit somewhere. I feel comfortable knowing the where things are. I’m not some sort of autistic savant who can memorise a map but I like to know how things relate. Where this place is, where it is in relation to another place. Before most car journeys I’ll look at the map and try to commit to memory the most important landmarks and waypoints.
